Terms of Use

By using GetTheAmount, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Estimates, not guarantees

Every calculator on GetTheAmount produces an estimate based on published coverage rates, waste percentages, and yield figures for the material and layout you select. Actual material needs can vary by product formulation, installation technique, site conditions, and measurement accuracy. Always confirm structural work — decks, stairs, footings, roofing, fencing, and anything load-bearing or code-regulated — with a licensed professional before building.GetTheAmount is a planning tool, not an engineering or building-code service.

No professional advice

Content on this site, including calculators, guides, and project hubs, is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute professional construction, engineering, or legal advice. Local building codes, permit requirements, and site-specific conditions vary and are your responsibility to verify.

Acceptable use

You may use GetTheAmount for personal and commercial project planning. You may not scrape, republish, or redistribute site content at scale without permission, attempt to disrupt the site's operation, or misuse the contact form.

Purchases and donations

The Project Planner Pack is a digital product fulfilled after purchase confirmation. Donations made through the support-us page are voluntary and non-refundable except where required by law. Payment processing is handled by Stripe under its own terms.

Intellectual property

Limitation of liability

GetTheAmount is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for material shortfalls, project delays, or costs arising from reliance on a calculator's estimate, including for structural work that should have been verified with a licensed professional.
